Sunbank was started from the seed of an idea planted on the Caribbean Coast of Nicaragua. There, James Richards was working with blueEnergy, an NGO that provides alternative Solar Energy and water filtration systems to isolated communities along the sparsely populated coast and inland waterways of the region.
